God is merciful and God is gracious. Oftentimes we and even Scripture lumps these two beautiful realites of God together and there is nothing wrong with that. Both of these attributes of God are rooted in God’s love and compassion for us. However, it is important to note that there is a distinct difference between God’s mercy and God’s grace. Over the next two weeks beginning this weekend with our study of God’s mercy from Micah 7:14-20 we will see the difference between God’s mercy and grace. Join us as we see that God’s mercy both nullifies and forgives our sins.

God’s justice. What is your first response to hearing of God’s justice? Was it positive or negative? I would go out on a limb and say that many of our first reactions to God’s justice would be negative. That we would rather not think about God’s justice because with those thoughts come pictures of an angry God ready to smite us. But that is a false picture! Rather, the justice of God reminds us of the faithfulness of God. It reminds us that God is continually calling us back to Him through a humble, faithful, and ever-lasting relationship. Join us as we continue our study of God by seeing that God is just and discovering why that is so good for us sinners.
