Understanding the Salvation of Jesus

English theologian John Owen says of Romans 8 and the reality of the Holy Spirit that it entails is that we need to “be killing sin or it will be killing us.” Praise God that for those who are in Christ Jesus… those who are experiencing the Holy Spirit of God find no condemnation for their sin. We live in the power of the Spirit which gives life BUT we still wrestle with our flesh that tempts us to sin which leads to death. Join us for the next week in our study of the Holy Spirit to see the freedom of the Holy Spirit but obligation that comes with that freedom for believers to live in the Spirit rather than the flesh.

What good is even the power of God if we don’t know what effect it has on our lives? Join us this Easter as we dive into Romans 1:16-17 and Mark 10:46-52 to see two things. The power of God and then the effect the power of God has on the lives of those who put their faith in it.
