I AM The Light of the World

In John 8:1-20, Jesus demonstrates boundless grace and hope through the story of the woman caught in adultery. When challenged by the Pharisees, Jesus responds with wisdom, highlighting the importance of forgiveness over condemnation. He offers the woman a new beginning, emphasizing that true hope in Jesus is steadfast and rooted in His divine nature. As followers of Christ, we are called to extend this grace to others and live in the assurance of His light and salvation.

I AM The Good Shepherd

In John 10:11-18, Jesus reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd, highlighting His unique role and authority. His sacrificial love and power to lay down His life and take it up again set Him apart. Jesus’ resurrection provides eternal life and protection, and He knows and pursues His sheep intimately. We are called to obey His commands, rest in His completed work, and live in dependence on Him, reflecting His character in our lives.

Prepare the Way

Christmas is here… which means Jesus is here… which means… you need to be ready. I don’t mean you need to have your tree decorated. I don’t mean you need to have cookies baked. I don’t even mean you need to have your gifts bought and wrapped. All those things are the noise of Christmas. Good things. But not the greatest thing about Christmas. So as we prepare for Christmas I invite you to join us in seeking to weed through the noise of Christmas and our lives to see the reality of God that Christmas shows us and the impact it has on our lives. To do that we will begin our brand new sermon series in Luke 1:5-17 by seeing the faithfulness of God to His people and His promises.

The Greatest Love Story

Sunday, as we begin a new year and close our study of love, we are going to unpack this greatest of all love stories by looking at Luke 15:11-24. As we do, we will see that this is not just a love story that has been told… but it is a love story that is being lived out toward you.

A Love Great Enough to Change Me

It’s just a little bit. It is just a little white lie. It is only a small amount of money I kept for myself. Did you ever notice that sin always starts with that thought? It is just a little bit. But the thing is sin never stays just a little bit! It always grows and in the process we become and feel more cruddy as time goes on. But what if there was one that loved us in a way that didn’t leave us to our sin and wasn’t afraid of our cruddiness? What if He actually made us clean? In this week of our Christmas message series “Love Came Down” we are going to turn to Mark 5:21-43 to see that God’s love not only pursues us… but it pursues us to change us.

Love, an intimate friend

Intimacy. Our world struggles in the aftermath of a pandemic infused with social-distancing now more than ever for intimacy. In a world more connected than ever we have never felt more disconnected. Our world is more sexual than ever but lacks intimacy. Our world craves but cannot find real, lasting, intimacy. Because real, lasting, intimacy is not found in the world but in the love of God. Join us for week #3 in our study of love to see that God’s love, real love, Biblical love has a terrible memory but keeps no secrets.

A King Who is Kind

Hangry: bad-tempered or irritable as a result of hunger. Bad-tempered or irritable as a result of hunger. That is one of the best descriptions I have ever heard of our world. Bad-tempered and irritable as a result of hunger. Our world is hungry, it is searching but it is not finding that which will satisfy its hunger. We know this and have talked about this before but what if we as the church bear responsibility in this? What if our lack of loving-kindness is allowing a world and its people to starve all while we have that which will satisfy? Join us for week #2 of our Love Came Down Christmas Message series to see the loving-kindness of Jesus and the effects that it has when lived out in a hangry world.
