The Rich Man and Lazarus
March 20, 2022
The story that we have come to know as the rich man in Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 is one of the more challenging but important stories that Jesus ever told. It shows us that there is a Heaven and hell. It shows us that each of those destinations are forever and that there are no second chances in the afterlife. And it shows us the power of God’s Word that should lead us to faith in His Son Jesus Christ. It is challenging though because many of Jesus’s points are “hidden” by 2,000 years of cultural evolution. Join us as we unpack this wonderful yet hard teaching of Jesus and by seeing that our love for God should lead us to love people.
