What will Heaven be like? 

John 14:1-6 

Big Question: What comfort do we have in Heaven? 

Big Idea: Our comfort is in eternity with Christ. 

The greatest reality of our eternity… is the one who awaits us there. 

Introduction: The day Don died. 

 True Comforts of Heaven 

• • It has many rooms. 

• Heaven never invested in a “no vacancy” sign. 

• • Christ has prepared it for us and He wants to show it to us. 

• Christ isn’t working construction… His work was the cross. 

• We know the way. 
  • The builder is also the way. 
• We know who is there awaiting us. 
  • The host is worth the wait. 

Conclusion:Threats to our comforts in Heaven… 

• An unhealthy attachment to earthly things. 
• A wrong perspective of Jesus.

Challenge: Is Jesus your comfort? 

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
